Dr. Kam Dhaliwal, O.D., B.Sc
Dr. Dhaliwal was born in Surrey and grew up in the Lower Mainland. He graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1999, with a degree in Microbiology. He went on to pursue a Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University in Oregon and graduated in 2003 with Beta Sigma Kappa honors in Optometry.
Following his training, Dr. Dhaliwal returned to the Lower Mainland and began working at Willowbrook Optometry. With his commitment to provide excellence in eyecare, Dr. Dhaliwal quickly added new technologies to make the eye exam experience more thorough and more comfortable for his patients. Dr. Dhaliwal sub-specializes in difficult contact lens fits, ocular disease and surgery co-management.
In his spare time, as an avid athlete, Dr. Dhaliwal enjoys playing sports including hockey, basketball, tennis and golf. He spends most of his free time coaching and watching his three sons play hockey, baseball and basketball.
Dr. Tajinder Khanghura, O.D., B.Sc
Dr. Khanghura was born and raised here in the Fraser Valley and went on to pursue a Bachelor's Degree of Science at Simon Fraser University and finished with honors in 2000. He completed SFU with a Major in Biology and Minor in Kinesiology. Dr. Khanghura received his Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University, Oregon in 2005. At his time at Pacific University he rotated through Veteran's Affair Hospital in Tacoma and acquired extensive experience dealing with Ocular Disease.
He returned home to the Fraser Valley after and has been practicing locally since. Dr. Khanghura has been a part time associate doctor at Willowbrook Optometry for over 4 years and specializes in Ocular Disease. In his spare time you can find Dr. Khanghura with his family or on the field playing sports with the local teams.
Dr. Karen Sahota, O.D., B.Sc
Dr. Karen Sahota was born and raised in the Lower Mainland. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of British Columbia. She then went on to Pacific University College of Optometry, where she received her Doctor of Optometry degree (with distinction) in 2008.
Dr. Sahota has been an associate doctor at Willowbrook Optometry for 10 years. She looks forward to seeing all of her patients that she has built relationships with and new patients as well. Dr. Sahota is dedicated to educating her patients and increasing public awareness about the importance of regular eye exams and providing her patients with the utmost best care possible.
Outside of seeing patients, Dr. Sahota enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.
Dr. Shannon Feng, O.D., B.Sc
Dr. Shannon Feng grew up in Coquitlam and graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Bachelor of Sciences in Biology. She continued her studies at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry with a degree in Doctorate of Optometry and a diploma in Advanced Studies in Contact Lenses.
During her clinical rotations, Dr. Feng received extensive training at WJB Dorn VA Medical Centre in South Carolina, Manchester VA Medical Centre in New Hampshire, and private optometric clinics in rural and suburban settings with emphasis in managing ocular diseases and fitting specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Feng is strongly committed to providing the highest quality eye care by incorporating her knowledge as a primary eye care provider and to educate her patients about the importance of routine eye health examinations. She is an active member of the British Columbia Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists. She is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese and enjoys working with patients of all ages.
During her spare time, Dr. Feng enjoys practicing yoga pilates, travelling, and being a part-time foodie.
Dr. Evelyn Lo, O.D., B.Sc
Dr. Evelyn Lo obtained her Bachelor of Science at Simon Fraser University. She then pursued her Doctor of Optometry degree at Pacific University in Portland Oregon. In her final year of studies, she completed an intensive ocular disease rotation at the No. 1 ranked Eye Hospital in the United States, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. She graduated with distinction and was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Award for her exceptional service and commitment to optometry.
Dr. Lo is not only passionate about each patient’s vision but is an advocate for ocular health and prevention of eye diseases. She enjoys all aspects of Optometry but is especially interested in treating dry eyes, paediatrics, myopia control and undoubtedly, ocular disease. She also collaborates with the Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center in Guangzhou, China to provide continuing Optometric education to Doctors, students and the patients.
Outside of Optometry, Dr. Lo is an avid LEGO collector and loves to build LEGO modular buildings. Her other hobbies also include badminton, baking, kayaking, photography and world travel.
Dr. Solmaz Pourvali, BSc, MSc, OD
Dr. Pourvali completed her undergraduate studies in Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University (SFU). She pursued graduate studies at SFU where she obtained her Masters degree in Physiology and Human Anatomy. Dr. Pourvali attended the School of Optometry at the University of Waterloo, and obtained her Doctor of Optometry (Dean’s Honours List) in 2014.
Providing thorough and compassionate care is Dr. Pourvali’s primary objective. Having worked in various clinical settings, Dr. Pourvali is highly experienced in providing quality eye care to each and every one of her patients.
Dr. Pourvali enjoys hiking, traveling, and exploring new cuisines and cultures.
